Crop your PNG

Arrastra el recuadro sobre la parte del PNG que quieres conservar.

Respuesta rápida

To crop a PNG, upload it to ezimagetools.com and drag the selection box over the part you want to keep — everything outside the box is trimmed away. Lock the box to 1:1, 4:3 or 16:9 when a platform needs a particular shape. Cropping a PNG keeps its transparency intact, so a cut-out logo is still a cut-out afterwards. It is free and needs no account.

Cómo recortar png

  1. Add your PNG

Tap the upload box and choose the PNG you want to crop.

  2. Drag the box

Drag a corner to resize the selection and drag the middle to move it. It works with a finger.

  3. Lock a ratio if you need one

Pick 1:1, 4:3 or 16:9 when the picture has to be a particular shape.

  4. Crop and download

Press Crop, then save the trimmed PNG.

What a PNG is

PNG stores every pixel exactly as it was and is the common format that supports transparency. That makes it the right choice for screenshots, logos and flat graphics, and a wasteful one for photographs.

Crop before you compress

If a picture needs both, crop it first. Cropping removes pixels, so the compressor then has less to work on and can spend its whole quality budget on the part you actually kept.

Preguntas frecuentes

Does cropping a PNG reduce its quality?

Cropping a PNG keeps its transparency intact, so a cut-out logo is still a cut-out afterwards. The saved file usually gets a lot smaller for the simple reason that there are fewer pixels left to store.

How do I crop a PNG to a square?

Choose the 1:1 ratio before you drag. The selection box then stays square whatever size you make it, which is what profile pictures and most product listings expect.

Can I crop a PNG on my phone?

Yes. The crop box is built for touch — drag the middle to move the selection and a corner to resize it. The page never zooms out from under you while you are dragging.

Will cropping make the file smaller?

Usually, yes, because there are fewer pixels left to store. How much smaller depends on how much you trimmed away. If you need a specific file size, run the cropped image through the Compress tool afterwards.

Can I undo a crop?

Not on the cropped file — the trimmed pixels are gone. Your original is untouched, though: we never overwrite what you uploaded, so you can start again from it.

Is it safe to crop PNG files online?

Yes. Your file is processed on our server and deleted automatically within one hour. We never look at it and you do not need an account.
