Convert your image to JPG

Turn PNG, WEBP, HEIC and TIFF files into JPG that opens anywhere.

Quick answer

To convert an image to JPG, upload your PNG, WEBP, HEIC or TIFF file to ezimagetools.com and press Convert. JPG opens on every device and in every program, which is why an iPhone HEIC photo often needs converting before it can be uploaded elsewhere. Transparency is replaced with a white background, because JPG cannot store it. Free, no account.

About HEIC files

HEIC is Apple's default photo format. It stores the same picture in roughly half the space of a JPG, which is great on your phone and awkward everywhere else. Converting to JPG is the reliable fix when a website or an older program refuses the file.

Questions people ask

How do I convert a HEIC photo from my iPhone to JPG?

Upload the .heic file here and press Convert — you get a standard JPG back. HEIC is the format iPhones use by default since iOS 11; it saves space but many websites, Windows programs and older apps cannot open it.

Will converting PNG to JPG lose the transparent background?

Yes. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a solid colour — white by default here, and you can pick a different one. Keep the file as PNG or WEBP if you need the transparency.

Which is better, JPG or PNG?

Use JPG for photographs, where it produces much smaller files at the same visual quality. Use PNG for logos, screenshots, line art and anything needing a transparent background, where it stays perfectly sharp.

What is the best format for web images?

WEBP gives the smallest files at equal quality and is supported by every current browser. JPG remains the safest universal choice for photos, and PNG is still the right pick for graphics that need transparency or crisp edges.

Does converting to JPG reduce quality?

Slightly, because JPG is a lossy format. We convert at a high quality setting so the change is not visible at normal viewing size. Converting the same file back and forth many times does accumulate visible damage, so keep your original.

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes. Add as many files as you like in one go and they are all converted together, then offered as a single ZIP download.

Your images are processed on our server and deleted automatically within one hour. We never look at them and you do not need an account.
